FACEIT demo viewer workflow for CS2
FACEIT gives you the raw match record. The useful part begins when the demo is organized into rounds and the team can inspect the same decision from every angle.

The short workflow
- 01
Open the match room
Find the completed match in your FACEIT history and open its overview page.
- 02
Download or link the demo
Use the demo download supplied by FACEIT, extract the archive, or paste the supported match link into RoundIQ.
- 03
Review by round
Start with swing rounds, lost advantages and repeated site hits instead of replaying the full match linearly.
From FACEIT result to tactical evidence
The FACEIT scoreboard identifies where performance changed. The demo explains why. Review the first death in context: available utility, teammate spacing, trade distance and the information that caused the peek. A single isolated statistic cannot show those relationships.
For team review, mark rounds before the meeting. Coaches can prepare a short sequence of clips rather than spend the session searching through the timeline.
What to review after a FACEIT match
Focus on repeatable decisions rather than one difficult shot. A lost duel may be mechanical; a repeated unsupported duel is a system problem. The viewer should make these patterns easy to compare across rounds.
- Opening deaths with no trade attempt.
- Utility still held when a site execute begins.
- Rotations triggered by weak or late information.
- Post-plants where player positions cannot support each other.
Using 2D, 3D and POV together
Use 2D to establish the team picture, then move to 3D for the exact geometry of a duel or grenade. POV is the final check: it shows what one player could reasonably see and hear. Keeping that order prevents individual hindsight from replacing the information available during the round.
